Dimensions of Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100/45 charge controller
Product Info
Choose Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/45 charge controller for precise and efficient charging of your 12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V battery bank, even on cloudy days. It comes with preprogrammed charging voltage settings and automatically detects the system’s operating voltage. It has a charging current rating of 45A and accommodates a solar PV input open circuit voltage of up to 150V.
Most MPPT charge controllers operate at a single maximum power point (MPP). Victron’s SmartSolar MPPT charge controllers can operate at two or more MPPs facilitating optimal solar battery charging under partial shading.Â
The internal temperature sensor compensates for temperature during the absorption and float charging. Alternatively, a Smart Battery Sense, a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor, or a SmartShunt can be used to communicate battery voltage, temperature, and current (BMV-712 or SmartShunt) to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.Â
Victron Energy BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor (not included)
The flexible charging algorithm of the SmartSolar MPPT controllers offers power derating for optimum operation in hot climates. The controller does not have a cooling fan; it mounts on a robust heatsink providing natural convection cooling and over-temperature protection. It also has PV short circuit protection, PV reverse polarity protection, and PV reverse current protection.Â
A feature of Victron’s SmarSolar controllers worth mentioning is that they will initiate charging even if the battery has a reading of zero volts. For Li-Ion batteries, the controller will reconnect to a fully discharged battery with an integrated disconnect function.
Communication and Monitoring Options
All the SmartSolar charge controllers are Bluetooth enabled, allowing you wirelessly set up, monitor, update, and sync your controllers. Synchronize up to 10 SmartSolar charge controllers via Bluetooth. Use the VE.Direct port for a wired data connection to a GX display, PC, or other devices.Â
Use an optional Smart Battery Sense (part no. SBS050150200) or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor (part no. BAM030712000) to communicate battery voltage and temperature to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.

Difference Between SmartSolar and BlueSolar MPPT Charge Controllers
SmartSolar models have Bluetooth. BlueSolar models do not have Bluetooth. BlueSolar models could be retrofitted with the VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle. On the SmartSolar models, Bluetooth communication can be disabled.Â
I was looking for Briggs & Stratton Ampliphi batteries & first looked at a dealer in Flagstaff AZ since I have purchased from them previously. They didn't have any in stock. I found Voltaico in Sacramento CA, another Briggs and Stratton dealer. They were out as well but Meredith assured me that they could get them direct shipped to our home in Northern Nevada. She sent me a quote promptly and I called and ordered the batteries. Meredith sent the order to Briggs and Stratton in Oxnard, CA and they were shipped the same day and arrived in Reno the next day. They were delivered today. All in all, an exceptional purchasing experience from Voltaico, thanks to Meredith. She did a fine job. Highly recommended!PS The Briggs and Stratton batteries (Ampliphi) were packed very well and everything came through without incident.

Your experience will be incredible!First, these folks have the best price of anyone online. Second, their staff (Meredith) walked us through options and an alternative unit, making certain what we wanted was actually what we needed. Third, the 6-8 week waiting period was only four weeks. A major positive when the alternative is a generator. Lastly, folks at Voltaico kept us abreast of production, shipping, and never let us down on anything. The units are quite heavy at 129kg (almost 285 lb), and required equipment to move down our ¼mi driveway. Once near house though, the last 15m were an easy slide even for a couple in their 70's.These 2-YS-31P's will be replacing some rather old 2-KS-33P's. Looking forward to another decade plus of reliable and robust storage.Surrette-Rolls rocks!

Not only did Voltaico have the best price for my Wallbox Pulsar Plus charger, but they expedited its shipment so that I could enjoy my new EV car. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable.
Casey Wimsatt
Picked up will-call order today from Voltaico's local warehouse. It went smoothly and I got my tamarack mounting kits/gear when I needed them. Great service!
Luke Harrison
They were the only supplier that had what we needed, they shipped it fast so we could get our customer back online
