Product Info
Designed with boat owners in mind, this adaptive 5-step charger can provide either 30A or 50A of charge to each of three battery banks. Alternatively, the 1+1 model delivers 3A to the starter battery and the remaining power to the house bank. The 24V models offer 16A or 25A charging options. Bluetooth-enabled, this charger allows you to monitor and set alarms directly from your phone. With adaptive, intelligent, and dynamic charging features, it offers advanced performance.
Built-in Bluetooth Smart A wireless solution to set up, monitor, control, update, and sync Smart IP43 Chargers.
Smart IP43 Charger (1+1) Has two outputs to charge two battery banks. The second output is limited to about 4 A and slightly lower voltage, meant to top up a starter battery.
Smart IP43 Charger (3) Has three full-current outputs to charge three battery banks. Each output can supply the full rated current, but the combined output can’t exceed the charger’s total current rating.
Automatic Voltage Compensation The charger adjusts for voltage drops over DC cables by increasing output voltage when DC current increases. Check the manual for details.
Adaptive 6-Stage Charge Algorithm Includes bulk, absorption, recondition, float, storage, and refresh stages. The adaptive battery management system optimizes charging based on battery use and can be preset for different battery types.
Variable Absorption Time Prevents overcharging by keeping absorption time short for shallow discharges (e.g., a yacht on shore power). After deep discharges, absorption time is increased to ensure a full charge.
BatterySafe Mode Prevents excessive gassing by limiting voltage increase rate once gassing voltage is reached, especially during high current and high absorption voltage charging.
Storage Mode Activates if the battery isn’t discharged for 24 hours. It reduces float voltage to minimize gassing and corrosion. Once a week, voltage is raised to absorption level to equalize the battery, preventing electrolyte stratification and sulfation.
Charges Li-ion (LiFePO4) Batteries Can be controlled by connecting a relay or open collector optocoupler output from a Li-ion BMS to the remote on-off port. Full voltage and current control is also possible with Bluetooth.
Fully Programmable Charge Algorithm Can be programmed using Bluetooth or the VE.Direct interface. Three preprogrammed algorithms can be selected with the mode button.
Optional External Battery Voltage and Temperature Sensing via Bluetooth Smart Battery Sense, SmartShunt, or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor can communicate battery voltage and temperature to one or more Smart IP43 Chargers via VE.Smart Networking.
Remote On/Off Includes two terminals: Remote H and Remote L. A switch or relay can be connected between them. Alternatively, terminal H can be pulled high, or terminal L can be pulled low. See the manual for details.
VE.Direct Interface For a wired connection to a GX device like the Cerbo GX, PC, or other devices. Also enables Instant Readout via VictronConnect from VRM. See the VictronConnect app for more information.
Programmable Relay Can be set up using the VE.Direct interface or Bluetooth to trigger alarms or other events.
Synchronized Charging Pairing two or more Smart IP43 Chargers in a VE.Smart Network allows synchronized charging, improving charge efficiency and battery life.
