Dimensions for Victron Multiplus-II 5000W 48V inverter and charger
Product Info
The Multiplus-II 48/5000/70-95 is a powerful 48-Volt 5000-Watt pure sine wave inverter with an adaptive 70A battery charger and a high-speed 95A transfer switch. The inverter’s output is 120V AC. Multiplus-II models offer all the features of the Multiplus inverter/charger plus an external current sensor that extends the PowerControl and PowerAssist function of the AC charger to 100A (see difference between Multiplus vs. Multiplus-II below). Here is a table with all 48V Multiplus and Multiplus-II inverter models:

Multiplus-II inverters have two AC outputs. The main output features a 20-millisecond no-break transfer switch allowing computers and electronic equipment to operate without interruption in the event the grid or the generator disconnect. By default, the second AC output runs only when an AC input is available; it is intended for non-critical loads that should not discharge the batteries, for example, a water heater. However, the auxiliary AC output can be configured for many other scenarios.
240V Split Phase and 3-Phase Operation
Stack two Multiplus-II inverters to build your 240V split phase system, or configure three inverters for a 3-phase system. You can have up to six inverters in parallel per phase, significantly increasing the system’s capacity.Â
An alternative configuration for a split-phase 240V power source is connecting a Victron autotransformer to a 230V (European version) Multiplus-II inverter.Â
Robust and Configurable AC Charger
The main output of the Multiplus-II inverters uses advanced adaptive charge software with a fine-tuned three-stage automatic charging; it has a fourth stage for long periods of float charging.Â
The Multiplus-II allows you to set a maximum input current (AC) from the generator or shore power; the charger will then prioritize the loads (AC output) and use the remaining energy to charge your batteries.Â
Multiplus-II inverters are also equipped with a PowerAssit feature that will take energy from the batteries to assist the generator when its capacity is not enough to run the loads during high demand (peak) periods; once the loads are back to normal, the charger will use the generators excess energy to recharge the batteries.Â
Easy System Configuration
The Multiplus-II will operate out of the box without any additional configuration. The factory settings can be modified using the inverter’s DIP switches. VE.Net can be used instead of the DIP switches and the VE.Bus software is available for more sophisticated settings and features.Â
Difference Between Multiplus and Multiplus-II Inverters
One main difference between the Multiplus and the Multipluss II models is that the Mukltiplus-II features a double-acting AC input anti-islanding relay allowing compliance for grid connectivity.Â
Additionally, the Multiplus-II has other features that allow Victron to reduce manufacturing costs without compromising performance.Â
Steel enclosure instead of aluminum.Â
A new circuit deposition technique, smaller chips with fewer integrated circuit components, using less silicon overall.
A single larger toroidal transformer, rather than two smaller ones, results in a slightly decreased peak surge power rating but higher efficiency.
Physically smaller, increasing units per container and reducing shipping and warehousing costs.

I was looking for Briggs & Stratton Ampliphi batteries & first looked at a dealer in Flagstaff AZ since I have purchased from them previously. They didn't have any in stock. I found Voltaico in Sacramento CA, another Briggs and Stratton dealer. They were out as well but Meredith assured me that they could get them direct shipped to our home in Northern Nevada. She sent me a quote promptly and I called and ordered the batteries. Meredith sent the order to Briggs and Stratton in Oxnard, CA and they were shipped the same day and arrived in Reno the next day. They were delivered today. All in all, an exceptional purchasing experience from Voltaico, thanks to Meredith. She did a fine job. Highly recommended!PS The Briggs and Stratton batteries (Ampliphi) were packed very well and everything came through without incident.

Your experience will be incredible!First, these folks have the best price of anyone online. Second, their staff (Meredith) walked us through options and an alternative unit, making certain what we wanted was actually what we needed. Third, the 6-8 week waiting period was only four weeks. A major positive when the alternative is a generator. Lastly, folks at Voltaico kept us abreast of production, shipping, and never let us down on anything. The units are quite heavy at 129kg (almost 285 lb), and required equipment to move down our ¼mi driveway. Once near house though, the last 15m were an easy slide even for a couple in their 70's.These 2-YS-31P's will be replacing some rather old 2-KS-33P's. Looking forward to another decade plus of reliable and robust storage.Surrette-Rolls rocks!

Not only did Voltaico have the best price for my Wallbox Pulsar Plus charger, but they expedited its shipment so that I could enjoy my new EV car. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable.

Picked up will-call order today from Voltaico's local warehouse. It went smoothly and I got my tamarack mounting kits/gear when I needed them. Great service!

They were the only supplier that had what we needed, they shipped it fast so we could get our customer back online
The 5000W Multiplus was the right size for us. We’ve turned on our main appliances at the same time, and it stayed below max load.
I was going to go 24V to match some of my DC loads, but I’m glad I went with 48V. The rewiring wasn’t too bad. Thank you!
I will order the rest of my system components from you, thanks for the free shipping.
It worked out of the box; I just needed to adjust voltage settings.
