The Victron VE Panel (or VEP) is an electrical panel to house the connections and circuit protection for the 3kW and 5kW models of the Multiplus and Quattro inverter/chargers. The VE Panel offers the best solution for an easy and safe installation. When connecting multiple inverters in parallel, configuring them for 120V single phase, 240V split phase, or 3-phase systems is possible.
The VE Panel is configured with a typical primary/follower architecture. The primary VEP has a pre-wired AC bypass assembly that keeps your loads powered from an AC source while the inverter or batteries are under maintenance, offering a code-compliant solution (UL and CSA) complying with UL 1741 and CSA C22.2 for safety standards. Follower VE Panels come with cables, breakers, and labeled bus bars for the additional inverter/chargers. Significantly expand the capacity of the system with up to 5 follower VE Panels per phase (6 VEP total per phase).

Victron VE panels ship with input and output breakers and pre-cut cables of the exact length to reach the terminals of the Multiplus or Quattro inverter/charger. They are pre-wired with THHN and Artic Flex cabling with ferrules and ring terminals. They also include labeled busbars, terminals, and conductors, giving a visual snapshot of your DC and AC connections inside the panel.
There is a DIN rail with space for additional DC breakers for MPPT charge controllers or 24V/48V DC loads. A mounting bracket for non-Victron solar charge controllers is in the box.
Please note that the VE Panels are designed for the 3kW and 5kW Multiplus and Quattro inverters for 24V and 48V models. Victron VE Panels are incompatible with Quattro inverters larger than 5kW, the Multiplus-II, or other inverter brands.

The standard shunt included with the VEP could be replaced with a SmartShunt or BMV shunt (sold separately). Use a right-angle VE.Direct cable to connect the upgraded Victron shunt to a GX device.
