The Smart BatteryProtect disconnects the battery from non-essential loads before it is completely discharged, which would damage the battery, or before it has insufficient power to crank the engine. It can be programmed via Bluetooth to set any required engage/disengage levels. Alternatively, one of nine predefined engage/disengage levels can be set using the programming pin (see manual). If needed, Bluetooth can be disabled. The Smart BatteryProtect is a uni-directional device, handling current in only one direction—either to a load or from a charger, but not both at the same time. Additionally, current can only flow from the IN terminal to the OUT terminal. When used with a load, the battery connects to the IN terminal, and when used with a charger, the charger connects to the IN terminal.
