Victron Energy CAN-Bus Temperature Sensor

The CAN-bus Temp. Sensor is a battery temperature sensor for the Buck-Boost DC/DC converter range, essential when connected to an LFP lithium battery. Temperature sensing is critical when charging LFP lithium batteries at low temperatures, as the charge current must be reduced when the battery temperature drops below 5 degrees and must stop when it falls below zero. The CAN-bus Temp. Sensor measures the lithium battery temperature and communicates this to the Buck-Boost DC/DC converter, which then reduces or stops charging as needed. Additionally, the CAN-bus Temp. Sensor can be connected to the temperature sensor terminal in a Multi or Quattro, allowing these devices to also reduce or stop charging when the battery temperature drops too low.
