The Buck-Boost DC-DC Converter is designed for charging a 12V or 24V service battery in vehicles with an intelligent alternator. In vehicles with Euro 5 and 6 engines, the onboard electronics often prevent the alternator from providing the correct charging current when the engine is running. This converter ensures the service battery is charged properly despite these limitations.
