The Filax is designed to switch sensitive loads, such as computers or modern entertainment equipment, from one AC source to another. The priority source is typically mains power, a generator, or shore power, while the alternate source is usually an inverter. With a switching time of less than 20 milliseconds, the Filax ensures that sensitive loads continue to operate without disruption.
