The SmartSolar Control Display is an optional pluggable LCD compatible with Victron’s series of SmartSolar charge controllers with a removable rubber seal in the front face. Replace the rubber seal with the pluggable display to monitor the status of your solar panels and battery or to configure your SmartSolar charger.

Use the pluggable LCD permanently or temporarily to display the system’s current status, historical data for up to 30 days, and cumulative historical values over the live of the charge controller. Some of the available data is:

PV power, voltage, and current.
Battery voltage, current, and charge stage.
Load output state and current if the solar charger has a load output.

Additionally, the display shows temperature readings, the state of charge, a connection indicator, and a warning signal. The front of the Control Display features SELECT, SETUP, and PLUS/MINUS buttons to navigate through the solar charger readings and change the controller’s settings.

Victron recommends using a Battery Balancer (part no. BMS012201000) to extend the service life of series-connected lead-acid batteries.
