The Pre-Charge Cable safely charges the internal capacitors of an inverter, inverter/charger, or MPPT before connecting the battery. This helps prevent sparks and arcing at the terminals during installation. Pre-charging typically takes less than a second on smaller systems (such as a MultiPlus-II 48/5000), while larger systems may take longer. For multi-inverter setups, units can be pre-charged individually or multiple cables can be used in parallel.

How It Works
1. Connect the negative battery cable to the device.
2. Leave the positive battery cable disconnected.
3. Use the pre-charge cable to connect the battery positive to the device positive.
4. Wait until the indicator light turns off (pre-charge complete).
5. Remove the cable and complete the positive battery connection.

LED Indicators
• Yellow LED: On during pre-charge. Turns off when the system reaches battery voltage.
• Red LED: Indicates reverse polarity. Disconnect and reconnect correctly.

Notes
• Do not leave the cable connected after pre-charging—it will continue to draw a small current.
• Larger systems may draw up to 0.5A during pre-charge.
• Always remove the cable once the process is complete.
