Victron Energy Lithium NG 12.8V 150Ah LiFePO4 Battery

The Victron Energy Lithium NG Battery (LiFePO4 or LFP) builds on the success of the Victron Lithium Smart Battery, with notable advancements that improve functionality and durability. One of the key enhancements is the ability to monitor the voltage and temperature of individual cells, providing optimal performance insights and facilitating advanced troubleshooting. The self-discharge rate has also been significantly improved, with a maximum 2% of the battery capacity per month.

Up to 50 NG batteries can be interconnected within a single system, creating a bank with a capacity of up to 192 kWh for a 12V system and up to 384 kWh for 24V and 48V systems. The batteries are available in nominal voltages of 12.8V, 25.6V, and 51.2V, with various capacity options. They are IP65-rated for protection in environments where dust and water are a concern and come with a mounting bracket to secure them to any flat surface, making them ideal for applications in boats, RVs, and other mobile or rugged environments.

Each NG battery includes an integrated shunt that gathers essential data for the Battery Management System (BMS) to accurately calculate the battery’s state of charge. This information is accessible through the VictronConnect app or a GX Device, allowing users to easily monitor and interpret battery performance metrics such as cell status, cell voltages, battery current, and temperatures in real-time.

All battery parameters required for optimal operation are managed by the BMS. The BMS detects the number of batteries connected in parallel and series. As with previous Victron lithium battery models, a Victron BMS is necessary for every battery bank. The battery firmware is also updated by the BMS as needed.
